Modern Country Kitchen

July 20 2014

This kitchen needed to blend modern components with  traditional styling.

Our clients live in the country on the far outskirts of Ballarat. The home has a country feel and we needed the new kitchen to blend in with this style. It was important that the kitchen was highly functional and optimised storage wherever possible.

Custom Cabinetry.

Integrated Fridge.

There was a lot of custom cabinetry required for this kitchen. A fully integrated Lieber fridge needed customised cabinetry doors to be fitted. As you can see it blends the fridge away from sight as it seamlessly integrates with the other joinery.

Glass display cabinetry.

The client requested glass display cabinets with side glass panels.

Custom end cabinet.

The Blackwood end panel hides a secret! It has a push to open mechanism that pops the panel open to reveal a charging station and document storage racks. Power points with USB ports provide a great spot to charge ipads and phones – keeping them off the bench. The document racks can be used for notices and bills, providing quick and easy access.

The kitchen doors, drawers and panels were painted with a 2 pak satin finish on a Polytec Valencia door.

The Island back and plant on kicker are Blackwood.

The benchtop is Caesar Stone – Creme Brule.
